Whilst offering most of what’s needed for a ski holiday, La Tania is far smaller & quieter than the main Three Valley resorts. It is located within a woodland setting and a gondola takes you out of the village to access the Three Valley skiing area. A lot of the chalets are ski-in/ski-out and the resort as a whole is very child friendly.
Many of the self catered accommodations were built for the 1992 Olympics, and the resort grew up around these buildings into what it has now become, which is a predominantly chalet based resort.
Experts will find plenty to challenge them with black runs such as the Jean Blanc & the jockeys along with some good off piste. Intermediates can enjoy some good long runs through the trees and beginners have been well catered for in the village as well as now having a green run back down to the village. Snowboarders should be able to avoid drags quite easily and cross-country enthusiasts will find trails at Altiport with tracks through the woods enabling access to Meribel & Courchevel.
Apres ski is mainly centred around the Ski Lodge which has live bands two or three nights a week with "Bring your Sisters" well worth seeing. The resort has a small but intimate feel.
