Courchevel 1650 has much more of a French village feeling about it. Named Moriond, the first lift was installed here in the 1950’s. It's not so crowded as 1850 resulting in a friendly atmosphere with fewer queues and quieter slopes. You will generally get better value for money here. There are a large number of chalets and chalet hotels in 1650 and more and more people from the UK are choosing 1650 over 1850. The slopes here are noticeably quieter than 1850 and the Meribel Valley. Our favourite red run in the 3 vallees ski area links back into 1650, the Creux red from the top of the Saulire leads all the way down to the Roc Mugnier chair taking you back to the 1650 valley…………..what a great way to end your day. And then why not finish it off with a drink in the Bubble bar, just behind the piste front in 1650.
Snowfinders staff have been to 1650 many times and know this resort like the back of their hands so if you have a query give us a call and we can help you find the right property in the right position
Snowfinders were sponsors of two trainee instructors during the 2010/11 season. They lived in Courchevel and they sent us footage of their season so why not follow the link on:Snowfinders youtube and enjoy seeing their time in the Courchevel valley.
