Corvara and Colfosco are both delightful villages nestled in the Alta Badia region of the Dolomites and have been enjoyed by British skiers for many years. Perfectly located on the Sella Ronda circuit, they have easy access to the main slopes including connections to Arabba, Selva, Val di Fassa and the Marmolada Glacier.
Corvara rivals Selva as a base from most points of view, the exception being that of experts who have to travel in search of challenges. Corvara takes some beating for families and novices, as well as for intermediates wanting undemanding terrain amid stunning Dolomite scenery. The distances you can cover are huge too. In overall scale, the network rivals the famed Three Valleys in France. The excellent value Dolomiti Superski lift pass includes more than 1,000km of slopes.
Colfosco is a smaller, quieter satellite of Corvara 2km away. It has a fairly compact centre with a group of large hotels spread along the road from Corvara towards Passo Gardena and Selva, enjoying splendid views of the Gruppa del Sella. Colfosco is connected to Corvara and the clockwise Sella Ronda circuit by a gondola. In the opposite direction, a gondola goes towards Passo Gardena where excellent nursery slopes can be found
