Canazei And Campitello

Canazei is a sizeable, bustling, pretty roadside village of narrow streets , rustic buildings and traditional hotels. The village itself is situated at the top of the pretty Fassa valley and is slightly off the main Sella Ronda circuit (although its main slopes form part of it). It has a fantastic atmosphere and its links to the Superski Dolomiti gives you access to over 1000kms of interconnected pistes. The striking surroundings, traditional Italian charm and a great range of restaurants make it a great base for a week's skiing, all on a manageable budget. 

The main gondola takes you up to the circuit, with its vast network of lifts and runs leading around a mighty limestone massif of spectacular Dolomite scenery. Individual runs maybe short and predominantly easy, but the distances you can cover on skis are huge making the area great for mile-hungry intermediates. And the extensive snowmaking is some of Europe's best. 

Neighbouring Campitello is a pleasant, unremarkable village, smaller , quieter and cheaper than Canazei, and still unspoilt.
