Travel Insurance is of primary importance to any ski and board holiday. Whilst we are all too aware of the cost of insurance, many of us are unaware of the value. Quite simply you get what you pay for - and the small print of the policies should be scrutinised.
Snow Finders has teamed up with Travel & General Insurance Company (TGIC), one of the leading Travel Insurers.
As with most insurances, you are only insured for an event which occurs after you have purchased the cover. If therefore, you or any person on whom the travel plans depend have any existing illness or injury, or have suffered from a serious medical condition in the last 12 months, or you receiving or awaiting investigation for a medical condition, you will not be covered unless you advise TGIC on Tel: 0845 408 0585, quoting Snow Finders, they will then establish whether the condition maybe excluded or whether you will need more in depth screening.
EU legislation has ruled that travel agents must ensure that you are adequately insured and tour operators will not accept your reservation unless this is the case. As a consequence, holders of free or upgraded credit card insurance policies must read their small print carefully, as most will not be sufficient to meet your winter sports requirements or the tour operator's conditions.
